Teeth Whitening Treatmen

Looking to enhance your smile? Teeth whitening is a cost-effective and trendy solution to add that extra sparkle to your teeth. Over the past few years, teeth whitening or bleaching has gained widespread popularity. By brightening your teeth, you can significantly boost your self-confidence, as a gleaming set of teeth can do wonders for your overall appearance.

You can choose from various teeth whitening alternatives, such as in-practice whitening, which is carried out by a dentist. After a thorough clinical assessment, your dentist will suggest the best possible solution to meet your individual requirements.

Teeth whitening overview

Teeth whitening, also known as bleaching, involves lightening the shade of your teeth. However, it’s essential to note that before you decide to undergo a teeth whitening treatment, your dentist will assess your teeth and gums to ensure they are healthy enough for the process. At our facility, we provide multiple teeth whitening alternatives for you to choose from. To determine which option would be best suited for you, please schedule an appointment for a clinical examination. Although results may vary, you should be able to notice a significant improvement in the shade of your teeth in a relatively short time.

In-practice teeth whitening

In-practice teeth whitening is a professional whitening procedure that takes place in the dental chair. It’s the quickest and most effective method of whitening teeth, and it typically takes around one-and-a-half to two hours to complete. If you’re looking for fast results, in-practice whitening is the best option.

To begin the procedure, your dentist will apply a protective gel to your lips and gums, followed by the application of the whitening gel to your teeth. The gel, which contains hydrogen peroxide, is then activated by a special LED light. The length of the procedure varies depending on the severity of the staining and the desired level of whiteness. While it can be uncomfortable to keep your mouth open for an extended period, many patients find that listening to music or watching a movie helps to distract them. Fortunately, only one treatment is usually necessary. However, deep staining may require additional treatments.

Before undergoing the whitening treatment, you’ll need to have a pre-whitening consultation with a dentist or hygienist to assess your suitability for the procedure. During this consultation, your dentist or hygienist will examine you and may identify any additional treatment that needs to be completed before proceeding with the whitening treatment. Please note that any additional treatment required will be chargeable to you.

Teeth whitening is safe when it’s done correctly. It’s important to visit your dentist for a consultation before getting any whitening treatment so they can check if your teeth are suitable for whitening treatment. We don’t recommend ordering teeth whitening kits online and doing it yourself as you don’t know if it’s safe to use, or if your teeth are suitable.
